Mae K. Spangle, 92, Stevens Point, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at the Atrium Living Center in Whiting, where she has resided since 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.

Mrs. Spangle was born May 3, 1924, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Carl and Anna (Ceplina) Russell. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1942.

She was married to Henry Ripplinger in September 1945. He died in 1950.

She held various jobs in the area, including being a desk clerk at the Hotel Whiting before beginning her career at the Copps Corporation, where she worked for 32 years until her retirement.

She was married to George Spangle April 27, 1959, at St. Joseph Church. He died Feb. 10, 2004.

She was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include one brother, Robert (MaryAnn) Russell; and one sister, Elaine Pflugardt; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Douglas Robert, in 1946; one sister, Ruth; and one brother, Lawrence.
